i want to know how to get rock hard buds,every time i grow there hard until they dry then they tend to lose all there weight and go fluffy is it the stained or what?

to get harder tighter buds is mainly strain related, get yourself some good seeds or clones. Also more light and bigger lights can make a big diff.

 

Anyways, most commercial pot is still wet, and compressed when its wet, get a bunch of half dry buds and chuck em all in a paper bag and wrap the paper bag up fairly tight so all your buds stick together, and check the bags everyday for mould, after a week or so when they feel dry but not crispy pull all the buds apart and chuck them in jars for a month or 2, they'll be alot more solid feeling.

 

But mainly it is strain related.

Blueberry has such dense nugs you have to lower humidity during the final flower to prevent bud rot. Silica like is used with superbud will take care of the rot problem also.

I hear adding rockflower juice to the res. during flowering leads to nice hard buds plus no loss in potency like with dutch masters.and it stops stretch so your flowering time is reduced. Such is what I've been informed. Edited February 13, 2004 by El_Badass

Be wary of any product claiming to increase density of buds. You should know exactly what you're using on your plants before you do.... IMO.

 

Yeah, it's mostly a strain thing getting the nugs you like.... Light intensity is also an issue, as a badly lit plant will never be as dense as the same clone grown under an optimal light density.

 

Might I ask who informed you about this product El_Badass?

can someone tell me why rock hard buds are better than fluffy buds? Or is it just a weight/yield issue and the actual quality of high is the same?

its gotta be a young crew thing...never used to be that way when I was younger...

 

we looked for resin loaded buds...good colour and after the fact great taste..now a lot of the inspection seems to go into how hard the bud is then the resin then the smoke...

 

oh well...personal stash will always be the better stuff

I think it's mostly cosmetic, although it does depend on your desire for high type too... fluffy, running buds are usually of a floatier or upper high usually, and come from sativa dominant plants in the majority of cases, (not always, these plants always have exceptions....) Dense, rock hard nugs are usually indicative of and indica influenced strain, and the stone to match, although once again, the breeding can change the effect noticeably...

 

And yeah, there is the weight issue, who wants an ounce bag which is twice the size of a normal one, and doesn't get you as high? Well, that's subjective, you can't judge pot till ya smoke it really.
