A mate of mine says that if u don't rip a plant the first year that the grass on it the next year is shit and has less THC in it ? Is it true or a old wives tale?

Not to sure on that but i dont think it dose. i had a plant i grew for 3 seasons outdoors (well me and my mate did) and every time we striped all the buds off rite(left enough on so it wouldent die) up to the last year we had it, the smoke was the same each time but then againe i could be wrong. I've read about revegged plants being less vigorous, but not about their bud being no good. But, to reveg a plant you got to leave some bud on it. Why not harvest the lot? A small cupboard, fan, and compact fluoro will give you a supply of clones for next season and shouldn't take more than $50 to set up.

A plants ability to produce THC is determined on the conditions, and it's strain, not how old it is.

yes i find it hard to believe the potency would be as great the taste would be probably much the same. good if you have a good spot to keep one growing.

Just an after thought.

 

If you were the learning type, the second harvest of such a plant would have a smoother and more filling taste, as you'd already have the experience on what the plant needs, and how early to flush.
