Vaporstar Competition Winner!

High Stoners, Well it's closing in on the end of March and we have a winner for the Bongs N Things Vaporstar competition. Firstly we would like to thank everyone who entered the competition and appreciate you taking the time to participate, we enjoyed reading through all the reviews that were submitted and found it particularly hard to come to a final decision. However after a session and some mulling over the final 3 we had picked out we're very pleased to announce the winning review being "The Gripper Bong" submitted on Friday 28 January, 2011 as featured below and here. Congratulations to the writer of this review it was chosen firstly for it's overall content of course, layout & ease of reading.

The first thing that can be said about the Gripper is that it's value for money. This bong, is in a league of its own. It's like buying a Volvo when you can't afford to buy a Mercedez.

The Pros:

Though it's not fancy, and lacking in extras like a double chamber, and the option of being turned into an ice bong; the Gripper gives you a hit unlike any other bong within it's price range.

Unlike most bongs within the below $50 range, the Gripper gives a smooth hit, requiring very little lighting; hence providing you with a hit that doesn't come with much of the taste of butane (which is pretty unpleasant). With such a long and slender chamber, the ability that the Gripper has in delivering large amounts of smoke is another plus for any smoker.

The smoke delivered by the Gripper is pretty much smooth, taste free, and generally pleasant - provided you look after it well.

The cons:

The only "bad" thing about the Gripper is that it can get pretty high maintenance. Like most bongs, these things get dirty pretty easy. But because of the Grippers' shape and size proportions, the amount of resin that gets stuck inside of the bong gets a little bit ridiculous. Using this bong would require a constant change of water, and also a constant change of pipe. Otherwise it affects the hit due to blockage and such.

All in all, the Gripper is a good buy. IT's the kind of bong that you would move on to after perhaps a year or two of smoking. I'd say it even makes a great first bong for any novice smoker. But like I've said in the very beginning - it's value for money. Nothing fancy, works well - and gives you a lesson or two in caring for your piece.

Rating: 4 of 5 Bongs!

We would also like to give special mention to these 2 reviews below as they were so close and made it hard for the final decision.

Eureka Flag Pollinator (50mm) - Wednesday 02 February, 2011

Vaporite Nano Vaporizer - 27 February, 2011

Again thanks to everyone who entered and sorry to those that missed out but don't worry we have plenty more competitions to come from Bongs N Things & throughout the cannabis community. ;)
