American control of Australian laws

I've found exactly the same thing. They have this blind belief that they have the best/fairest/well set up government on earth, but it just isnt running right at the moment. (or the last 50 years). And they do crap on their gov. but as you say, as soon as I do, they defend it like mad.

 

They have no idea what goes on in the world exept what effects them.

 

What I hate, is this idea they have that all the world wants to go live there. So many Americans (USA) have asked me if I want to live there, and I tell them I am on a disabilty welfare. If I live there, and am able to get welfare, I will live in a dangerous environment, eat poorly, have little or no education for my kids, and god help me if I'm sick.

 

Where-as here, my kids are educated, even through to uni, I had an operation yesterday and it cost me not a cent. I get my medicines for free, and if i do have to pay, it's a couple bucks tops, and there's nothing like the crime, the racsism, the danger, or the world hatred against us.

 

And to top it off, if I get arrested for grass, I don't get life or some such silly thing as they do. Their jails are the only thing that works well. Too well.

 

They think I am simply jealous then! Seriously, if u dont want to live there, it's because for some reason you can't, and you are fueled by jealousy to contempt.

 

What a nation of patriots! More ike a nation of pride.

 

I had a fair approach to every nation, I thought i wasn't racist, but I'm starting to.

 

I love Australia. I think we really are the lucky country. We have a great balance of free market economy and socialism. It's one of the fairest government sysytems inthe world, and although I hate johnny Howrd's politics, and government and always vote socialist in one form or another, even our conservatives are fair, and we forget this too often.

 

Things are falling apart at the edges, and for one thing we have far too much americanisation. We have lots to be proud of, and lots to form our own identity. I went to Kmart the other day, to buy my son a couple T Shirts. Some had "Hawaii" on them,some with "wiamia bay" some had "The Yankees", some had american flags, but nothing could be found to sybolise our own country. I saw no T shirts with "Kirra Beach" Or "bells" . Unless you go to a sport shop and pay through the nostrils, u cant get a tshirt with Australian footy teams on them.

 

I see kids with their pants around their arse, wearing homey jumpers with american crap all over it. Names of american teams that I for one have no idea how they're doing in their own leauge, but I am expected to know who they are anyway.

 

Blame MTV or something for that I guess, but I think we need to regain everything back from the yanks. I remeber growing up inthis country when we were Australians,. not the next annexation of america. I now that's harsh, but for an old bugger like me, it sure feels like its going that way.

 

You could sleep inthe back seat of the car at Byron Bay , or Noosa, and surf or fish all weekend without strife from the cops for doing it. We went out bush, and camped at sidings, and did all kinds of great stuf in the scrub. now there's no scrub left for the kids ecept scrub with huge signs warning people to stay out or else.

The way that the US government oppresses its own population is in some ways worse than the way Sadam Hussein treated his people, at least he didn't make it against the law for starving people to beg!

Robbie, I was reading something about USA and their economy since before WW2 and supposedly theyve been bankrupt a few times so I also think its disturbing that we are mimicing their system of government [and probably getting deep into debt although this is just a feeling I have].

 

Gun laws were probably introduced to stop a future revolution so I hope our economy improves - I have anxiety attacks anytime a bill comes through the door because its so hard to keep a job or be unemployed IMO. [i hate talking politics but its a release of stress to share whats on my mind - sometimes I feel suicidal and its not my fault at all]

I know many reformed and current opiate addicts. I know many people who have been on/are on the methadone programme. The one re-occuring statement that theise people say about methadone is its poison--one said If he could go back 25 years then they would have never got on it.

Methadone dosnt get you HIGH[not like lady H, or morphine]...

 

Methadone has a 72hr half life, its only administered once a day!

 

Methadone rots you teeth and makes you stupid...

 

Methadone is not the answer to treat opiate abuse.

 

On the subject of American control over OUR laws, Its not supprising. the facist american regeme has dictated australian domestic and forgin policy scince the second world war. with the current political situation here[ie: cocksucker howard PM] american policy is going to dictate australian life for many years to come.

personaly i belive that if every Aussie kills atleast 20 yanks then were on a good start--but thats just psycopathic me.

 

a more rational approach--"grass roots" perhaps, would be for every aussie smoker to grow weed. Im not talking about in you spare room or under the house, im talking about a mass cannabis planting by everyone accross the nation--Plant dope everywere! on median strips, in parks, on your verge, in your front yard!, everywere it can be clearly seen. the reason is not to flood the local market with cheep[shit] outdoor weed, but to give a index and forefinger salute to the legislature/juditary for there non-complyance with our[the smokers] views on cannabis law. It may seem like a bit of a stupid concept for most paranoid potheads--It will attract the cops, it will get me arrested!--not if EVERYONE did it. the courts could not handle the mass influx of minor cannabis charges and the DPP's form each state would be forced to drop charges. surveys have said about 70% of the australian population smoke, the government cant put 70% of the population in jail, they couldent even get them thru the courts.

 

so grow dope. plant seeds everywere. tell you friends to do the same. grow dope and leave the male plants with the female plants, they will seed and greminate a new generation. cannbis will eventuly become an uncontrollable weed. pot will be everywere. laws will change. the people will rejoyce. good times will be had by all
