ready for harvest soon?

Hi Folks,

My small plant which i planted around mid to end novemberish (i'm bad with dates) started to flower or hair a few weeks back. The pictures was taken this morning. I was wondering if the flowers will get any bigger or if its ready to be harvested. To give an idea of the size, its as big as my index finger. also on the underside of the plant there are smaller flowers. i was wondering if i just cut off the branches that look ready and let the other keep growing?

A long way to go yet dave. They could double in size. A lot of people trim off the small buds. I don't. It is a personal choice.

 

IMO end of April or even early May will be the right time.

yeh mate Bricks on the money there, you also might want to feed em some flowering nutes thrive makes a pretty good one for outdoors and its relatively cheap mix it up in water as per directions and give it a good soak once a week. A good indicator for the newbie is when 60 to 80% your hairs turn redish and the smell becomes kinda sweet .. goodluck...TD

G'day Old. Just think Easter Bunny and you are on the money. Lots of flowering nutes now, weekly, and you will be pleasantly suprised. As templedog said, you will smell it, no worries, you won't mistake it for anything else. Go get 'em. Edited March 9, 2011 by auntynorm

Eastern Bunny is hopping in on the 24th April this year, you may even be looking at May around Mothers Day.

But as has been said you need to feed them up, rose fertiliser is best.
