auto / grafting experiment

ive noticed a few autos grown in soil lucky to make 12 cm so i been thinking the auto roots might be a bit weak (just me crazy thinking,

an noticed when in light looser hydro they grow much better.

 

so im thinking of grafting a few autos to a sativer root system just for something diffrent and i like doing lil experiments ,

but ive never tryd grafting dope plant before , but done it a few times over years whit bonsai ,

 

just woundering if any ones interested in watching along , or ill just do it buy me self

 

should be something diff i havent herd anyone trying it

ow ive never grown autos before so its all from what i see in forums

The only plant compatible to cannabis is a hop plant.

Grafting weed plants is possible.

 

dunno about grafting a ruderalis to a sativa tho...

Yes that would be very interesting - make sure you document it for us.

 

How long does it normally take a plant to graft itself? Because the autos growth is time based, not dictated by light hours so if it took too long for the graft to take it might not be viable?

 

Do you have some auto seeds?

yer ive herd of doing it to hopes rev somthing about beter root system for longer lasting plants (mothers) thats what i herd they were doing it for an that was 20 years ago an dont now how it went

 

but i want i good rooted sativ an then ill have two branches an at the stock just under bottom two branches ill do it there theres afew ways to do it .

but ive only grafted white pine on black pine root stock an there sap makes it easy , once squized togrther for 10 sec, it holds together before graft tape

 

it will be in a month or two to many plants atm i might just take a lil cut an see what hapens when i try graft it back in first before i kill a auto

ill defanetly post it

hay jimbo duno pine trees are very slow growing so im hopeing not to much longer than 2 weeks , hopefully it will start growing before the cut heals properly

 

ill try it tomorrow with these two lil ones in the pot together both same seeds

I have been waiting on a branch to grow roots for a mom plant off a flowering plant I have now.

I like your idea,wish I had access to seeds like you do.

I did an auto flower for a bud last yr.Lowrider I think is what he called it.Weird to see that thing grow.

I have had my verison of a graft going on for a couple of weeks or so. I wrapped dirt in a baggy on the joint of the limb to the stalk after I broke it open over 3/4 of the way off.

Took a peek today and I can see some small roots, I will have a nice plant I hope.

ill have to wait till it gets abit cooler, dun 4 grarfts it was cool in morning when took em bout couple hours later it was 40 deg c, an strong hot wind so was spraying em every 20 mins even put em under house were it was cooler abit but buy about 4 hours i was just spraying dry grafts .

 

so pulled it apart an was bone dry till the scoir bit wich was still wet an moist so ill wait abit , an dont realy want to order seeds till whats in flower now is up an out the way

 

ive started 20 seeds off mainly couse i want a male for pollan but ill fuk around with some of them to find the best way ,

 

and skunkxxx the air layering is good idea make sure its got plenty roots before you cut it off, i always thout about doing a air layer on bottem of every branch an then cut each branch off an put in seperate pots for better light to get much lower on each branch ?

but what im looking for is sortof what u do with bonsia you yous white pine couse its better to shape but roots grow to quik, an black pine root system for much slower growth , so im thinking auto roots arent as strong something like that an sativers have quick strong root systems so thats what ive been fukn around in my heads for couple mounths now an deff guno do it in next 2 months .

 

thats why i put it up early couse i was hopeing someone with some good skiils would tell me if i might be onto something or waisting time but im very courius
