Longer Dark Period, Faster Finish

Hey guys, I've got a lady indoors under a 400w HPS, roughly at 3rd or 4th week of flower (not exactly sure), but basically want it to be finished by christmas, because i am moving out of my apartment at the end of december and so will need time to get the carpets done etc, after which time I will be relocating interstate.

It looks possibly sativa dom and is currently in a 20litre pot with a soil/coco/perlite mix, (each roughly 1/3), and im just using a simple flairform 1 part flowering nute, with some bud steroid until week 5, then pk 13/14 week 6 then flush.

What I was wondering was, if i change the light from 12on 12off to 10on 14off, will the plant finish sooner without damaging potency? a 20% reduction in yield is to be expected but I'm ok with that.

 

Also just in case anyone is interested, the seed is from a 'cannabis starter kit' from the flower market on the canals in amsterdam. At 6 euros for around 60 seeds its pretty good value and so far the germ rates have been basically 100%.

Unfortunately no you can't hasten maturity via light manipulation apart from starting the flowering process.

 

Best smash the light into em (as many watts as possible) then pull when the time is up and you gotta move.

Cheers mate, I'm adding a 135w fluro to boost my spectrums a little and have tied it down so the lower buds are getting more light. I guess I'll just wait and see.
