Water Logs

Recommended Posts

Hey mate, I've got a few sitting round waiting to be used for this years grow. They last around 3 months so they will provide for the veg stage but not for flowering. Yes they're more than suitable for an outdoor grow. Perfect for guerilla gardening I always thought........give water to your plants for 3 months and you barely have to do anything and they cost very little. Also look into the Ecobag, I'm thinking by the time I get to flowering and the waterlog runs out, what ever plants are left will get this http://www.ecobagindustries.com.au/

For the waterlog watch this here and it should explain a little better

don't think there's any need for extras. Those things give out enough water as it is. The only thing I would recommend is replacing or putting a new one in 2-3 months after the first one went in. Your plants will still want natural water. If there only source is the water log it wont promote deep root growth as there is no water down that far and hence no need. You want to soak your plants with natural water everytime you see them....if your guerilla gardening.

best of luck

Water crystals will help, I used them in my mix this year. Too deep and it will be somewhat useless but too close to the surface and it wont encourage root growth. Just make sure there deep enough that the roots can get it but not to shallow that they wont grow. So probably around 10 inches down is around where ill put mine. That's why I said soak your soil every time you water the plant so the soil further down gets wet and as the soil on top dries from the sun, the roots are encouraged to dig deeper for their water source.

Nah im guessing it would disintegrate by that time. The answer to your problems is use waterlog through veg and hand water it how ever much you can. What ever survives by eco bags for and go to them once per month to fill them up. Its a little bit of money that is easily worth it to get you some chronic. Dont worry too much about it mate. once they have grown for 3 months they will be a lot bigger and stronger, thus taking care of them selves a lot easier. just make sure they get water every now and then and they will provide.
