G'day Jester. A couple of ideas for you to think on. 1/. LARGER pots, the biggest things you can find, it will repay you many fold. 2/. Fill them to within an inch of the top, then put your seeling in. 3/. Mulch the top of the pots, this helps to keep the roots cool and to cut down evaporation. A small amount of tlc will reward you with lots of thc.

Sorry to bother you guys, but I'm just wondering if there's something I can do to force this thing to start flowering? Everyone else appears to be in full bloom and this thing just keeps on growing at an alarming rate. Would cutting out the crowns on all the runners do anything? It's broken through the corn camouflage and it's now literally out of control!

well done Glenn! you must live up my way seeing as yr plant is at this early looking stage. but flowers are showing, right? I have a similar problem due to late feeding with high Nitrogen fert. it's been explained to me that I need to change over to low N, high potash. the boys reckon 10% or less of N in the npk ratio is the way to go.

in any case, yep, tying down is the only option left to you now, cos even if flowering begins full-on at this very moment, yr plant is going to grow another third bigger before the heads are ripe!

lucky you ... I hope you resist the paranoia and receive all the fruits of yr labour ...

G'day GW. What a dilemma, it's getting too big. Go with it mate. Cutting out the crowns will probably make it grow bigger and faster, I bend the branches until they crack, not clean break and that seems to work ok, they quickly grow a callus over the cracked area. I've got them in stages from cut and drying to just budding. It will happen when it is good and ready, like a real baby, can't rush things, ain't nature grand? Edited by auntynorm

Hey Glenn, big plant = big buds

once the colder weather starts to come in and the position of the sun in the sky changes your plant will hurry up with her flowers
