Hydrobotanics Nutrients?

I am using Hydrobotanicals A and B grow for my veg stage and the EC when the nutrient is mixed as instructed is 2.5 on my bluelab truncheon. This seems high for a vegitative formulae compared to what I have read in the litriture. Should I use less nutrient to adjust the EC or endevour with the solution as it is (if I adjust there may be a lack of the required nutrients)?

I'd be giving it a go at half strength , that is very high for a veg nute, have you checked the background level of your water?

Yea my background EC is 0.2 and ph 7 (the nute when mixed has a final ph of 6)

rather than mess with what seems to be a crappy product I will prob get something better can anyone suggest a nutrient system which gives expected EC on the bottle label? Edited September 27, 2010 by sassman

hi sassman i find canna cyco and extream all of them i have found good but ill mostly use the nutes to the ppm-ec rather than lets say 2.5ml pl it depends alot on you town water too but the closest i have found to mls to lts woud be cyco so far good luck with what ever you do any ways

Hey sassman, 1250ppm doesn't sound all that high to me. Depending on strain and age I'll have them anywhere between 800-1800ppm.

 

The main thing is how your plants are reacting to it, they will let you know if there are any problems.

2.5EC is definitely getting up there but as Naycha said you really have to look at the plants to see how they are reacting to it.

 

I personally would be just using less in the mix - I never go off the bottle, I just add a little at a time until I get the EC I want.

yes, but Cyco is a protien based nutrient....only one out there. I used CAnna and H&G until Cyco came around. wouldn't use anythig but cyco now.
