Why Is My Baby Dying?

I'm desperate for some advice - I'm running a twin pot Autopot system, in a cupboard grow in perlite under a 130w Veg CFL, and trying my hand at LST - Everything has been just fine up to now, and I was getting ready to start flowering in a couple of weeks - however during a relocation, one of the leaves on my bigger baby (Mandala Safari Mix) got damaged.

It was hanging half off the plant, so rather than leave it to rot I sliced the remains off with a sterile razor blade and figured it would be fine. It looked a bit wilted the next day, but I figured it was shock and left it alone. It's now three days later and half the plant has started to curl up and die - it looks like it's spread from the initially damaged area and it's running amok!

The ppm is normal (1200), pH is sitting at 6.4, which is a little higher than I usually run, but I don't want to mess with it and add more stress when she's already poorly - her sister is thriving, so I don't think it's a nute issue.

Is this some kind of fungus or infection from the damage?

I'm not sure what to do now, this is my first grow with hydro, and I'm freaking out!

I took a few pix of her, and one of her sis for comparison - any assistance would be MASSIVELY appreciated!!!

when you moved the plants do you mean repot or you just moved? i would say a root problem i would try to spray the sick plant with straight water once or twice aday and can you see the roots at all and tell us what colour thay are and how are you watering the girls

Greetings, As far as cutting or breaking of the branch shouldn't be any drama, I absolutely butcher mine when scrogging (undergrowth).

I think your PH is to high aim for about 5.8 give them a good flush and lower your nutes to about 1.4.

Thanks for the advice, I wasn't sure what it was, coming so soon after the damage, I thought it might have a fungus or something!

I will give it a good flush and some fresh weaker nutes tonight.

I know it sounds rough, but with the plant looking so poor I would pull it out of the pot as gently as possible to check the roots out.

Gday sid.. i would check the roots mate as the above stoners said.

 

I butcher my plants to and never had any probs like that.
