Calcium Deficiency

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Got three plants in a recirculating system in clay balls. I have noticed over the past week or two that a calcium deficiency has formed. I thought it might be because the EC was too high is was sitting above 22. So now it's down around 18. Ph hasn't climbed above 6 and now it's around 5.8.

I then thought it might be because there was salt buildup in the roots perhaps so i've been flushing water through however it's still happening. Any ideas as to why and how the hell I can fix it?

please take som pix

dont panic we will help

pix are a must

but if what you said is correct

then

i feel its a toxic buildup of excess nuitients

imo

flush

and start again with a fresh nutrient solution

a fresh nutrient solution can not have any deficiencies

a fresh nutrient solution is complete

a fresh nutrient solution is 100% balanced

seen

flush is crucial

make sure you flush till the water runs out the bottom of the pot ---->100% clear

mix the fresh solution at half strength for the first day

then full strength from then on, till the next flush

flush every 10 to 14 days is most common recommendation

read your nutrient label for your flushing recommendations

if you see signs of shock

spray with high K spray like liquid kelp as recommended for a foliar spray
