cracking seeds with a heat matt

Hi guys,

 

just getting organised for this summers grow and going about ordering some seeds.

I have decided to order Northern Lights, BC Pine Warp and Kona Gold, as you can undertsand I want most of my babies to crack and grow into healthy little girls.

 

what is the best method to crack seeds?....the paper towel method?....soaking seeds in water first?...i am unsure

 

 

I have a heat matt with adjustable heat gauge, a cloning box and light, what is the best way to sprout and grow my ladies for safe transplant outside?...I was thinking rockwool cubes after sprouting on 24 hours of the cloning light a day until first set of true leaves and roots and then stick outside

 

All thoughts and advice would be appreciated as this is my first seed grow in a long time having used clones for the last half a dozen grows.

yea i find the wet paper towel ok and put it in the saucer on the warming plate on coffee machine

warmth @ germination is essential IMO

big ziplock bag, container with paper towl method inside ziplock bag, place in dark warm... 2 days pop

I just pop the seed about 1-1 1/2 cm deep straight into the pot of coco and pop it on the heating matt at a temp of around 21/22. Always get 100% germination (so far anyways) Edited September 30, 2010 by resin8
