Protect yourself with the truth. Find out what psychiatrists don’t want you to know.

Quick Facts about Psychiatry

http://www.cchr.org/quick-facts/introduction.html

While posing as “authorities” on the mind and mental health, psychiatry has no scientific basis for any of its treatments or methods. Presented herein is specific evidence debunking several of the main claims and methods of this pseudo-science.

Real Disease vs. Mental “Disorder”

Psychiatric disorders are not medical diseases. There are no lab tests, brain scans, X-rays or chemical imbalance tests that can verify any mental disorder is a physical condition. This is not to say that people do not get depressed, or that people can’t experience emotional or mental duress, but psychiatry has repackaged these emotions and behaviors as “disease” in order to sell drugs. This is a brilliant marketing campaign, but it is not science.

Psychiatric Disorders Voted Into Existence

Psychiatry’s diagnostic criteria are literally voted into existence and inserted into the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (DSM). What is voted in is a system of classification of symptoms that is drastically different from, and foreign to, anything in medicine. None of the diagnoses are supported by objective evidence of physical disease, illness, or science.

Psychiatry Admits It Has No Cures

“We do not know the causes [of any mental illness]. We don’t have the methods of ‘curing’ these illnesses yet.” —Dr. Rex Cowdry, psychiatrist and director of National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), 1995

No Brain Scans For Mental Illness

Psychiatrists claim that brain scans now show brain changes that “prove” mental disorders, such as schizophrenia and depression, are brain-based. There is no scientific evidence to prove this: it remains what the “fine print” in the studies tell you: “suggests,” “may” and “it is hoped.”

Side Effects

Psychiatrists can’t predict what adverse side effects you might experience because not one of them knows how their drugs work.

Psychotropic drugs are increasingly being exposed as chemical toxins with the power to kill. Psychiatrists claim their drugs save lives, but according to their own studies, psychotropic drugs can double the risk of suicide.

No Genetic Proof of Mental Illnesses

“No claim for a gene for a psychiatric condition has stood the test of time, in spite of popular misinformation.” —Dr. Joseph Glenmullen, Harvard Medical School psychiatrist

Dunno if you are aware Grace, but that website is a front organisation for the Church Of Scientology.

I'd be a bit dubious about their claims, granted psychiatry today is still rather imperfect, but it has more basis in science than the dead thetan theory that scientology pushes.

Thanks lou lou

I did notice that the site was started by Church of Scientology but was doing research and found some of the info might be useful for an upcoming MHT Hearing .... not for me  but I'm sure my day will come lmao. Some good stuff to throw back at the so called experts who refuse to listen to their patients about the benefits of cannabs and will only prescribe drugs with known insidious side effects and unknown long term effects. Used one of their theories when arguing with a Director of Health at a hospital the other day about proposed treatment for a patient .... he could not answer me about the side effects of the proposed drug regime on this patient and impct on their health .. was not a psych related matter but can see how some of their theories can apply to other pharma drugs v cannabis for patients with a number of medical conditions and for those patients who are caught up in the mental health system because of their cannabis use and who are placed on involuntary treatment orders for non compliance with psych meds.

Dr. Rhawn Joseph has published major scientific discoveries in prestigious scientific journals and has published several highly acclaimed "best selling" advanced post-graduate textbooks.

In the 1970s he proved/discovered 1) the role of early environmental influences on learning, memory, attention, and impulse control, 2) the role of sex hormones and the lack of sex hormones on sex differences in behavior, cognition, learning, memory, and spatial ability, 3) neurplasticity and recovery of function in the primate brain and is considered one of the founding fathers of the field of Developmental Neuropsychology.

Dr. Joseph also published major scientific discoveries on "split-brain" functioning and the duality of consciousness. He coined the term "limbic language." His theory of language first published and featured on the cover of the 1983 Journal of Clinical Psychology, has been widely accepted and scientifically verified and numerous scientists now claim the theory as theory as their own.

Dr. Joseph's scholarly articles and monographs have been reprinted by major universities and medical schools, including Harvard, have been translated and republished by foreign scientific journals, and he has been invited to speak at the University of Geneva, Brigham Young University, the University of Japan, Santa Clara University, and the University of California at Berkeley.
