Final Flush

Ok so this has been my first grow adventure, and its coming to the end. Im pulling my plants down in a week. Now iv heard that you should do a final flush of the plants with freshwater for the final week to two weeks. My plant is in a 50L pot, does that mean i should water it over the next week daily with 100L over the week? Should that be enough to properly flush it? Im not exactly sure what to do seeing as though I havnt flushed a plant before.

 

My idea was to water it everyday for one week with around 5-10L per day, is this the kind of thing I should be doing?

IMO i would give it a good and proper flush with at least 20% runoff.

 

Then leave it until the leaves start to droop from lack of moisture, then choppy time!

flush it and measure the EC of the water going in and then coming out

 

when you have the same levels coming out as going in you know it has been flushed ok

 

then leave it unwatered for as long as you can before harvest.
