spindly-light weight colas ?

Hi all this is my first grow in the new drobe everything is running great except that the colas are not looking as good as they should be for 5 weeks (as I have grown this strain few times before)

 

as I discussed in the chat room with people I think it may come down to using an oldish globe??

 

I swapped for a better one so will see what happens from here.......

 

all nutrients same as usual and all that.......but it has been bloody hot this summer, relentless, so maybe this is part of he cause??

 

any ideas ?? The strain is NL#1

It's probably a combination of the old globe and the heat. I've had alot of heat problems in the past and if it's bad enough, it can seriously effect your yield.

for sure, I cant really think what else it might be ? this strain packs on the most weight during week 6-7 there about so hopefully it might not be as bad as I think but I doubt it will be a record breaker by any means

Cant see ya globe in ya pics how far r they from the tops of ya buds ?. From the top of the largest 1 to the top of the canopy looks like a good foot of sapce so ya light wouldnt be doin much down there, and if its a foot off ya lagest cola then its not doin much at all

yeh light is about 40-50cm from top cola !!Never had any problems with this distance before. Since I have changed the globe things are looking much better already...Personally this time of year I would want my colas any closer than 30cm to the globe..unless I had some outrageously effective cooling in the drobe...I'm pretty happy with my temps anyhow...

 

pisspot how close do you usually keep your light/globe to plant when flowering ??What temps do you run when flowering ??
