This is a huge problem

I here that smart meters are coming my way does anyone know what can be done if anything to fool these things ? I dont mean steal power cause im not into that ... I mean by ways of the powers that be not knowing when my power spikes and drops ...

 

I was speaking to a sparkie today and he said that they were able to see power spikes ... so at lights on every day the same time they'd know something was up...

 

Any help would be appreciated

so if elect company sees a power spike @ same time every morning that shouldnt worry you

i switch my pottery kiln 3000watt on every morning , causes huge power spike

there's 100s of reasons why peeps elect use spikes

 

smart meters are not to locate suspected large consumers and send investigators out to see why

in reality 'smart meters' (even the name is to try an fool you) are just a new way of charging you higher rates and make big savings to the supplliers by eliminating the 'meter reader man'

not as promoted 'to help you make savings on your electricity bill by managing your usage times'

the elec company dont care how much you use so long as you pay for it, but in the case of smart meters to charge inflated prices

as usual the customer is screwed over again

so whats new

Az Fraz said, where i lived before i moved to where i iz now there installed smart water meters so all they would have iz drive past ya house to get a reading rather than some one walking along the street cheackin all the meters...

This is a strange one.

 

i had a look in my house meterbox yesterday and i couldn't find the meter WTF

all that's in there is a gray box with a boost button which i assume is for me hot water system

no spinning meter and come to think of it I've never seen of heard the meterman stomping around

but did notice a few weeks ago a meter reader walking around nearby with a big pole with a wifi looking mushroom
