hollow stems

Recommended Posts

One of my plants has hollow stems, maybe more i dunno, have red mixed reports that its strain dependent and its nothing to worry about actually a sign of healthy plants, as it allows the nutrients to move around the plant, but i have also heard that its a bad thing possibly gnats, or root rot, could anybody shed more light on this? Plants are doing fine, still growing still producing more leaves, doesnt seem to bother anything too much.

I had most of my batch with hollow stems... not too phased, may perhaps limit the amount of weight the branches can support though, not sure if this is the case but i would assume they would "kink" much easier under a load. So make sure to tie the girls up. Nothing like a bit of bondage to get you and your girls aquainted :yahoo:

also note that my statement may not be true it is just an assumption that having less inside would make it weaker
