clones changing sex

Recommended Posts

Hello O/S's

Does anyone know what would make a clone from a known female turn male when clones from the same mother remain female. I have only just strarted to have this happen and I have had about 3 or 4 do this in the last few weeks. Nothing has changed in the setup and all nuits / ph etc are correct. I veg with fluro's and flower with 600hps.

love to know why thi is happening

cheers

I always thoght that as well, but I have only cloned from the same plant which has had probally 3 or 4 generations. All previous clones were female as said this has only just started. I have heard that enviromental factors can make plants change sex or go homaphrodite in an effort to survive. Is it possible that there is a recessive gene or something in the plant that is coming out I keep cloning?

woow never seen a clone do dat

dis is comlpetely new

have you got any pix?????????

love to check dat out

could it be that the mother is getting tired???????

try --->refresh the mother

but i have neve seen a clone change sex

thats the whole reason why we use clones

because clones are a exact genitic copy of the mother

which is a female

seen

so every clone will be a female

seen

unless there has been some mistake

a clone changing sex is completely new phonmon

i am very interested in how you achieved this

because if that could happen that means hybreds could be turned to landrace

that is why hybreds will never breed true

because hybred males do not exist

till now

there are many people who would love to achieve dis

please take pix

i cant say ive had a clone turn hermi or male on me from mothers going on 8yo in my hands and it was years old when i got them.. they havnt had an easy life either

where did the original female come from? if bagseed that could be the problem alot have varied amounts of hermi traits but odd they show like this

and are you 100% sure it was female and not a late hermi? you cloned unlikley but will throw it out there.

So from a batch of clones of a single mother your finding a few males with female clones.. that has me stumped and i think you will find a few non believers. Ive only seen Males, females or hermis from easy to spot to female right up to last weeks when the hermi in them pops through

i have herd of something like this back in the eightys

and it turned out that the mother plant was 11yold and got very very stressed

and was nearly lost clones were taken and suddenly we had hermies

and had never seen this b4 so after alot of searching and many years later he found

out that thru the extreme stress the plant endured to save itself went hermie

and as we cut anything that was still green to keep the stain going as the mom died

aparenly they can go hermy to save ones traits if dieing, now since this happened

you r now the second person and time i have herd or seen this happen some 23 years

wot we did was completely rtemove all clones and re stocked our mothers and our strains

you might have to look at doing the same

i can see the light a dat

but that would create hermoffridites not create pure males

a stressed tired mother could react like dat

Rino Tamer

Nothing has changed in the setup and all nuits / ph etc are correct. I veg with fluro's and flower with 600hps.

so has stress been an issue for the mother????????

do you take too many clones for the mother to recover vigoruslly?????????

are you getting pure males or hermies?????????

please i would love to see some pix

irey guidance
