old seeds

Recommended Posts

I have some white widow seeds that are a little older than two years old now and im having trouble growing them they are not very vigerous at all and was wondering if i bred them if the new seeds would be any good or if they will take after the old parents and not grow very well. the problems im having is they are growning very short and are not building strong roots at all the root growth is very slow its all most like they are stunted i thought at first the soil or something had to be wrong but then i tryed again and all the other plants did the same thing i have grown this strain in the past and they where very good but i just wanted to know if i use the old seed to breed if the new seed will be the same or vigoris again thanks for the help.

Hmm.

I think the general consensus is that older seeds don't grow as well as fresher seeds. Might be that the genetics of the particular white widow seeds you got weren't that good in the first place though. In which case they'd get stronger if you crossed them with another strain, but then they wouldn't be pure white widow anymore.
