clones in rockwool

hiya guys

 

just wondering if any1 could give me sum tips or point me in the direction of sum nice reading material on bringing up clones in rokwool...was wondering what the go is with clonex and root hormone that kinda stuff cheers

Hi,

 

I clone into 2" rockwool cubes....I simply take a small clone cut diagonly dip into clonex root hormone (purple liquid stuff) and stick into a hole in a presoaked rockwool cube (presoaked in plain tap water). I put the cubes into something like a lunch box with a small amount of water in the bottom and stick under 4 36w fluros. I'll mist them by hand with a garden sprayer (like used at hair dressers.) about twice a day or when I think of it. I will generally have 100% success rate using this very simple method......some people insist on areoponic cloners etc but they aren't really needed. I know of people who simply stick a clone into a cup of water on a window sill for a week or two and have no problems. Good luck!

I just dip them in some rooting hormone and stick them into my perlite/vermiculite media, I've also cloned without the hormone with no problems.
