Questions of LIGHT

Recommended Posts

After searching for answers on Cannaversity n blogs I still have questions about light -

Being a newbie to HydroCulture (always grew bush) I'd love to get some advice for my self and other newbies re: LIGHT

Some Examples

Seedlings : How much light is too much?

: Can I put babies in the sun then under light at night?

: Does photosynthesis start as soon as babies pop first shoots?

: Does more light = thicker stems?

: Distance from light source?

Small plants : How many hours under light? (I'm using 2x High intensity Gro Lite 6400K electronic lamps)

: Is it cool to move from natural sunlight to lights?

Larger plants much is covered in Q& A in Cannaversity but not times that I can find - 18 on 6 off??

I've read about the 12 hr gig to start flowering -

Thank you experienced farmers for sharing your wisdom and advice - It saves so much grief. This forum is a great learning experience and source of information

Cheers

lotta questions hip :peace:

Seedlings : How much light is too much? ... there is no such thing , plants normally live in sunlight but we can never hope to recreate Sun's intensity

: Can I put babies in the sun then under light at night? ...yes but beware of insects catching a free ride and attacking plant

: Does photosynthesis start as soon as babies pop first shoots?... as soon as green chlorophyll colour is in the shoots yes

: Does more light = thicker stems? ... no (more strain/genetic related)

: Distance from light source? ... back-of-hand method , just pleasantly warm no more!

just my opinions

:peace:
