not sure what critters you are describing but recent similar problems have had me look at methods of dealing with similar.

Neem Oil was suggested to me for dealing with the juveniles I had coming from eggs on leaves. I'm relatively sure the dripoff to media (in my case potting mix) would also have some effect. I didn't use Neem though, I used 'pest oil' from Bunnings and I'm going to (one day, when I have plants I can sacrifice) test pest oil again, it kills bugs but I'm not sure of the effect to the plants. There are other generally available organic based things you can use to kill pests, if I still can't find Neem before my pests (which still exist but are controlled, I think) annoy me I'm gonna try one of them.

Giving us a bit of background about the situation of your plants wouls be handy, oics even better.

Neem oil can be found at Bunnings if you have one. I used Mite-Rid. It has the same active ingredient as Neem oil, its even derived from the Neem tree, but it is emulsifiable so it mixes straight into water unlike Neem oil.
