whats agood nutrient

Recommended Posts

Have tried... Canna, Advanced nutrients (now defunct), Growth Technologies, Dutch Fest (also OZ made) and House&Garden.

Most are ok (dutchfest was a let down though), you just need to treat each nutrient slightly differently and of course match the nutrient to the medium.

More details would give us a better idea of what you might require...

I personally believe there is an over emphasis on nutrients in hydroponics especially with weed growers. Keep it in perspective, even the most demanded nutrient nitrogen makes up about 3% of the mass of dried plant matter (less than 1% of wet matter. Also remember that your plants cant read brand names so just stick to a nutrient that was formulated for weed and has key micro nutrients in a chelated form. Then keep your pH in the 5 - 6 range DONE. Now forget nutrients and concentrate on all the other important things like light, temp, air, which are equally important. To back up what i am saying commercial green houses use a nutrient that costs around 90c/L to produce and is stronger requiring less dilution that stuff u buy in stores. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OF BRANDING!!!!!!
