how and when?

Recommended Posts

hey guys, yeah i pollenated one of my buds recently and it's only taken 2 weeks and i saw about 15 seeds in it. they look twice the size of a seed you'd get in a breeder pack. i'm wondering if you harvest and dry as normal or if you wait a certain amount of time and manually extract them? do i need to know anything else about this? just take out and put in sealed a plastic bag? lettuce know, cheers

heya bulls :) .. when i make homebrand seeds indoors i let them stay in the bud on the bush for at least 4 wks from the day of fertilization, if plant still is not ready to pick then i leave 5+wks ... an unmistakable sign of when seeds are fully mature they will readily fall from the bud if the calyx jacket(seed husk) is pulled away, this of course is a sign seeds are well done and ready to be stored until planting time ..

it is a truley marvellous and complex creation when seeds are made by the plant , all the genetic information has to be encoded into a tiny little embryo and enuf energy stored within a sealed spherical little ball(the seed) to firstly, break open the seed then support life in the form of an embryo into a baby seedling for days after it is once activated into life .. so i reckon it is best to leave the seeds in the buds for a good time to ensure all those processes are completed ...

also colour of seeds is important cause green-whitish seeds are immature... grey-brown, dark, speckled seeds are usually ripe

:)
