all this bloody rain

Recommended Posts

a mate asked me to look at his potplant and it's well into flower but looks to need a little longer.

Sydney's been so damp lately he's got fungus through the buds. I just looked at the BOM though and it appears we are in for a sunny week.

If he leaves it alone and it remains sunny will the rot just die, or now that it's got a hold will it just worsen?

Seems a shame to pull it early.

hi BaronS

BS ..... a mate asked me to look at his potplant and it's well into flower but looks to need a little longer.

Unfortunately the mold/mildew needs to be not only removed but caution when selecting any unfinished (apparenty unaffected) bud. I'm in sydney and timed it right after many years oef outdoor urban grows during summer............. them's the chances oputdoors this time of year.

Someone may come along with some means of dealing with the issuee but in reflection you should salvage.

NB: How much of the plant is affected ? (Dammage assessment Pic is best)

:yinyang:

Nitty.

I take it the addition of the BS is an indicator you don't believe this is a friend's problem. If you look around you'll see i've stated a couple of times I have m' own, no need for me to disguise the fact. Oh well...

anyway, thanks for the advice. I think I sortta knew it in m' bones. I'll see if we can get a decent pic.

BTW: I seem to have some late maturing bagseed so am hoping this wet spell is over. No sign yet of similar rot on the early buds.
