compact fluoro's for seedlings and clones?

Hey growers,

 

just a quick question about seedlings and clones,

 

I have 2 energy saving compact fluoro's, both 100watt, one 6500k the other 2700k. will they be ok for raising clones and seedlings or too intense??

 

please give me some advice, i need it!!!

they'd probably be perfect for clones.. for seedlings i use a 400watter HPS.. a MH would be better but thats what i got so thats what i use.. and it works well..

hey buddy, i raised my seedlings under 4 x 14W CFL's and they loved it, it was in a highly reflective small grow space that was ventilated by a computer fan. 2700K is more of a flowering spectrum, so you'd be best using your 6500K CFL which is good for vegetation. 100W is heaps for that, honestly. my 4 x 14W are too bright to look at so they should love the 100W. make sure temps don't get too hot tho

yer will work wonderfully

i use a 48w cfl for clones and seedlings

with the seedling i generally leve em under fluoro

untill they hit 3rd leafs,plant em out and straight under 400w

i find i get some great growth that way

but using a fluoro will suffice..u wont get fast growth as u would with hids

but it will keep them alive and grow them
