ionizer

Recommended Posts

sound like your havin the same prob i was raven - one thing in itself aint enuf.

Mate, ive spent over $300 on em in the last 6months trying to find one that works ok. Ive tried the little ones that use cold corona (I think) generating in a small housing and blowing it out with airpump and ive settled on one of the large units that use a uv bulb and blow the air over with a computer fan.

Mate, if i had to do it all again, knowing what i do now and if your somewhat capable of basic electrics, i'd get a 40w fluro assembly, buy a 40w uv lamp from somewhere and fit it into a box and put a 120mm computer fan on the end. Cheapest way man.

Otherwise aussieponics (there's that word again fellas!) have a 40w unit for under $200. Taking into consideration all the things said about aussieponics on this forum i still think it'd be ok to get one from there.

Anything you need help with just PM me...

Don't do what I did and waste money on an ionizers...........biggest crock of shit I have ever come across(apologies for those who reckon their ok.)

I spent about $500 and eliminated the problem immediately after throwing $$ after $$ to fix the prob (buying fans etc).

Carbon filter $300 ( I think) and Centrifugal Fan $200 (I think)..........best money I ever spent. No real increase in noise and better ventilation.

And yes it is expensive but now I can sleep at night knowing that the odour problem has been resolved. I wish I had done this before my neighbours (who live about 25mtrs away...) pulled me aside (lucky they were understanding).
