My 2009 outdoor plot

Recommended Posts

Almost got one of my plots ready for this season. The dirt is hard ass clay so i dug out some holes and put 5 gallon buckets in the ground. I still have a few more holes i have to dig but first wanted to figure out how many plants you guys think i can fit in this area... (I'd say its probably about 5ft x 10ft). I also put up a 5 foot fence and covered it with the dead brush in order to keep it hidden, hopefully the weeds will start growing over it soon cause right now its somewhat noticeable. Do you think this fence might block a significant amount of sunlight? The area isn't frequented much so i'm not too worried about people stumbling across it but it is a possibility so im trying to keep it as natural looking as possible. Any ideas how to conceal this a little better? The opening where the 2 logs are is the only way to access the fenced off area. I tried to take some pics of what the outside of the fence looked like but the camera didn't save them. I plan on putting up a little piece of fencing that is gonna be completely covered in weeds/sticks so noone knows its a fence and to keep animals completely out. Does anyone have a better idea? Also should i not even bother with the buckets and just dig holes? im hoping to throw dead grass and shit in the grow area so it doesn't look suspicious to the eye in the sky...

that fence that looks like its suppose to be there is at the bottom of a 75 foot hill which on top of it is the highway... the hill is so steep that noone can see the spot from the top of the hill unless they get out of their car. I didn't put that fence there but figured i would use it to my advantage. the ghetto fence covered with brush is the one i put up...

yeah its barely spring time here, not even leaves on trees yet, but it should be turning green soon. i got about a month before plants can go out so in the mean tiime im just getting my spots ready... This is my primary one seeing as its fairly close and easily accessable. Im kinda worried about the dude who lives nearby as he saw me coming out of the woods at like 2AM the other night... :-\ He was kinda drunk tho and i said watsup to him and was nice to him so he didnt seem to mind too much... Im just gonna finish getting it ready tomorrow night and not go back until its time to plant some shit, once it warms up a little bit.

here are some shots from a grow two seasons ago during the summer... This was a grow out in the open . no fences, ended up getting chewed on by the fuckin deer! harvested about a half ounce off of 4 plants after they got snacked on. All the damage was done in 2 days when i didnt get a chance go check up on them :freak:

are you in the northern hemi???????????

or southern????????

soundz like your in the north

so a southerly aspect is a must

dont settle for less

the southerly aspect will deliver the harvest your lookin for

at half the cost of any other aspect

if you in the south

a northerly aspect rulez

runing water is a big asset

otherwise you hafe carry it in

fertile soil is a pluss too

same seen otherwize-->carry it in

the plant management practices you choose is for you to deside

you could jam heaps of plants in that area for sog grow

or 1 big momma could deliver the same harvest

do some research

irey guidance

Im in the US. Im thinking about trying to jam like 7-10 plants in that area. The pics from my 2006 grow were in pots above the ground just covered up with by tall grass, they were later transplanted into the ground but the holes were not deep enough for all four of the plants so they didnt get too big but it was a nice little bit of herb for my first sucessful grow. I hope these 5 gallon buckets will be enough space for the roots to grow, i plan on putting some clay pellets in the bottom of the bucket for better drainage but i'm still still debating on what type of soil mixture to go with, does anyone got a mix that works good for them and requires minimum matintence. Anyone got any ideas to help me perfect this spot?
