Spider Mite Sprays

Recommended Posts

I recently use a solution of ciggie butt tobacco mixed in a 2ltr bottle with 1ltr of water in it, about 20-25 butts worth of tobacco, mixed for an hour or so, shaken a few times, strained into a spray bottle then sprayed all over the plants, absolutely nukes em, i am vaping some of the sprayed bud now and it doesn't appear to have any adverse effects, :D

BHP, are you not aware of tobacco-based viruses and their efficacy on cannabis crops? I would not recommend touching your plants after smoking tobacco, I certainly would not recommend spraying 'tobacco juice' on them.

Try this: http://i440.photobucket.com/albums/qq128/SonOfTeucer/Day%2034/InsectKiller.jpg

It's a natural, non bioaccumulent and low-toxic soap based solution that is effective. I only recommend it for the vegetative stage though, as it tends to leave a white soapy residue on the leaves. Whilst this residue is non-toxic, I don't want to smoke it!

well teucer, when you actually know what you're talking about, then you are qualified to comment, until then, shut the fuck up!

the mite is a trecherous being

i find u need to mix it up

treating with just 1 spray is insuffucient

as the mites build tolerance to the sprays

wen i have mites and touch wood hasnt happened for a good year

i alternate a couple of sprays

i use mite rid a systemic spray based from neem

then i also use another starch based spray called bug off

and some eco oil

i find spraying over the course of 2 weeks works wonders every 3 days

that way the eggs that hatch are sorted aswell

with miterid they say not to use anymore than twice in the life of the plant

so i use it for 1st and final spray..being a systemic i only use in vege also

all the ebst

yo!!!!!!!!

proffit and teucer

your both right

seen

nicotine is a very effective insecticide

irey works proffit

yes teucer tobacco virus and some diseases are contagious to cannabis

but the nicotine is extracted before it is used

there is no plant material contact

thus the virus and diseases can not be introduced via a nicotine spray

seen

it is possible to transmit the tobacco ailments but only tru actual contact with a the infected tobbacco

and may be some equipment like scissors or harvesters ect

if the contact was within a few minutes of each other

in a broad acre environment this could be a big problem

but in a grow room the chances of contamination are very slim

I used a 1-1 mixture of water and rubbing alcohol too get rid of mine, applied once a night for a week (probably only needed 1-2 applications) and it worked wonders. The only thing is, don't apply too thickly or in hte middle of the day as the alchohol MAY burn, but i found it tended too bead off the plant before that could happen.
