Hey all

 

I`ve been wondering how people manipulate their plants to get those awesome red and purple colors out of their buds ......i know there`s strains that grow naturally like this, but i remember reading something about adjusting the PH and root temp to get the same psychedelic effect.....

 

I`ve searched and searched and cant farkn find the info anymore(probly imagined it ) ... so if anyone has any idea wtf im on about,... ya feedback would be greatly appreciated

I remember reading on another forum that the colder your temps are the more purple to blue the buds go...

Cheers shroomy ......yeah im gonna chuck a 3ltr block of ice in one of mi CB rezzys every day through flush to see if that works

Air con is best

but if you do use ice

try dry ice

and place it before the inlet fan or the ossalating floor fan

make 100% sure that the plants are not getting wet

 

what we are trying to do is stress the plants

stress will cause the plants to use up all it available K

 

k defeciency is what causes the plants to change colour to purple

in its natural enviroment this is brought on by the cold snaps of winter

 

 

they still need some energy tho

so

add some mollasses to the final fulsh

keep the ec low

below 1/4 of the usual strength

I cant really add the dry ice due to humidity problems ...though it would look wicked

 

I`ve got an evaporation ac that i can run as an extra fan(without the ice)........i might set it to high when the lights turn off to see if that helps. (come to think of it, i might add it now)

 

Might i ask....how much molasses should i add?...or does it boost the ec?.....i only really wanna muck around with the one plant/rezzy as a test

i dont what system you using

but as a ruff rule

no more than 25% of the usual EC strenth for your last Bloom feed

it is mainly the sugar they want

but there is some crucial micro elements that add to flavour in mollassses

 

you could also use fruit juce like mango

 

is it a must to keep your funal flush total EC at a low level

below 25% of the last bloom sollution is irey
