Hey Koston, how are your plants going? Have they turned male? I'm having the same problem. I've got 3 plants and they all have balls on them

Ripped the one they was turning hermi (i think both flower pistils and male balls).

 

Clone is female, 2 other bag seeds (same strain, bush) are flowering nicely.

 

Ill get pics up soon.

 

If yours are turning hermi you still get buds, but seedy buds.....so i guess its free smoke...

I looked at mine a while ago and they haven't budded at all, just going to seed. I wouldn't be able to smoke any of it. Dam. 6 bloody months of work and this happens!

Bad luck there misty. With bag seed, over half are going to turn male.

 

I had 5 bag seed 1 clone.

 

Gave 2 away(one looked dodge, ended up being female)

Ripped one, balls everywhere.

 

 

3 left 1 clone 2 bagseed.

 

Not long to go now

When I read the topic title I thought it was about turning male "late" in the flower cycle , but from the picture its obviously not.

 

My experience with Balls (Cannaballs that is) is that either ..

1. The plants are male from the start - easily picked.

2. They show balls along with female flowers early in flowering - Hermie.

3. They show balls later in flowering female - Hermied , maybe naturally or maybe through stress of some sort?

4. They show balls (or bananas) very late in flowering - Self Pollination.

5. There is no number 5. ... unless you grow balls after you smoked your awesome bud harvest - See a Specialist.

 

I'm no expert though and If anyone wants to add or detract from that , useful information is always .. useful.

P.s. Personally never had more than about 30% males from any bunch of seeds , ever. Usually less but maybe just good luck though.

i'd take it out the back nd give it a good slappin and tell it that ya sisters better not end up like you have. there can only be one... and you're it a jock h..then throw it of a cliff onto some crocs ..problem solved.. oh shit i just read ya other post seems you do have a mardi gras issue...pull them all off um out Edited April 5, 2009 by hazedaze
