How to go Vertical!

Recommended Posts

the idea behind a vertical grow is to maximize light foot print. traditional grows only leave you with nice top colas. wouldn't if be nice if that nice top cola was the whole plant!

This is my V-Tub. Very simple to make very simple to grow high yields. this can be used in bigger applications as well feel free to shoot any questions.

Materials

10cm hole saw

10cm Hose adapter

10cm Inline Fan/blower

(2) 75L tubs

(4)

cool tube: recommend 250-400

Start with lining the insides of both tubs with reflective tape/mylar or paint.

use your hole saw to cut a hole in the dead center of the top tub

~note I put a notch there for the cord.

Mount the light to the adapter. I used a triangle light hanger. once mounted place bub vertically into top of the tub be sure the end of the bulb is not past the tubs lip. add fan to the top and all done.

in the bottom of the tub place your grow containers.

Add 4 10cm 90 degree Pvc pipes on the top tub for intakes.

on the rim I used weather stripping to block out any light added a 15inch vertical screen a few plants and this is what came up

Benefits of growing vertical, More square footage in the same space. no wasted light through a reflector.

once you go vert you never go back!

thanks for stopping in

could you shed some more light pon dees few quiries

what advanteges do you get over the standard system of overheadz lights?????

with overhead lights you only see buds develop on the top. with a vertical system the whole plant gets equal light and popcorn turns to bud

do you grow 1 plant or several in each 75lt tub?????????

I grow a total of 6 plants per tub.

What yields are you getting from each 75lt tub???????????

150g from three plants so Ideally 300 grams under a 250W. this run should be the one to do it.

I have seen this with a 400 getting massive yields from only 1.5 meters square

post-19099-1235361933_thumb.jpg

one cola all the way down the main branch

how quick????????

after rooting clones I veg for 1 week on 18/6 then switch to 12/12.

which grow system do you use hydro? soil? organic????

I use passive hydro. 75% Perlite 25%vermiculite.

which grow teks do you use sog?, scog????????

I use scrog but it could work in both ways.

Vertical Sog~not mine

how do you stop the plants from reaching the light. (weave them in the mesh as they grow?). The light stays in the middle?

Temps ok?. Ive been trying to comeup with a small grow 300 grms of a 250 would be great!

got ant rough measurements on the size l,h,w? pics of finnished plant would be great.
