Need help with moldy clones

Recommended Posts

Hey Ive been my clones have using coco to do my clones and for the most part it works very well but lately my clones have been showing mold or rot that starts on the outer leaf where it has been trimmed and in the tips of the clones. Just wondering if anyone else has had mold problems with their clones before and could i use an antifungal or something?

thanks RR

anti fungal sprays should do the job, but once mould is in the cloning chamber its impossible to remove B) unless you constantly use that anti fungal stuff when taking cuttings they'll probably go mouldy from now on so i would recommend spending $25 on a new humidity dome and using some antifungal spray as a preventative measure

Well if you dont happen to have an autoclave handy haha then i spose u could use ethanol

Ethanol is a very good antibacterial and i recon metho which is mainly ethanol although not ideal would be fine.

Or any of the products peeps have already recommended.

A good trick used in the lab is to not dry anything with cloth, dry it with acetone or in an oven never with cloth.

and wear rubber gloves.

also weak solution of hydrogen peroxide H2O2 is perfect for rooting in bubble cloners.
