Something is eating my seedlings. (Pics)

Recommended Posts

I have 4 seedlings growing germinated around 12/11 they are looking very healthy but some sort of bug is eating them. 2 of the seeds i germinated were eaten just as they hit the surface and the round leaves on the 4 remaining are being chomped on, one of the leaves is almost torn in half. they have already developed their 1st set of true leaves and these havnt been touched by the bugs.

what is this? slugs?

Birds did exactly the same thing to mine. They only take a little bit (just enough to hurt the plant) then piss off. What paul said. Good idea. lol

Interesting, I thought only seedy heads attracted birds? Not saying it isn't the problem though.

I have had mice chew the cotlydon leaf at night time outdoors. Seen mice shit around the seedlings and set a few mouse traps and sure enough, caught a couple of mice,.. ended up swinging the seedling tray from a tree with rope

There is your answer Budda. Mouse traps. Minors are my problem as well. Cat or a dog helps as well. If you want to get real mean and nasty snail pellets do a permanent job. lol lol
