Seedlings - Spindly trunk, falling over.

Hey all

 

A FOAF has some seedlings which all seem to be quite spindly in the main stem, as a result they are kind of laying over and generally being unstable.

 

The plants look healthy enough at the moment, are they likely to grow out of this problem?

 

Anything that can be done to help them out?

have an oscillating fan blowing on them.

don't over water

get a tube at least 10mm think and slice it down one side and slip the stem in to the tube so it is held upright.

& Sounds like not enough direct light. If there is enough direct light they are shorter, stockier and resilient. If using lights they may need to be closer to the seedlings. Edited September 30, 2008 by Kali Mist
