Lighting Wattage

I am buying a 430 Watt Son T Agro.Yet was wondering if i wanted to use it for clones and that later down the track can i get a 250 Watt globe aqnd put it in it?.Or do i have to get a full 250 watt lighting kit?.

Another kit....altho some lights can take different wattages....you would have to check with the shop u bought it from

You can start your clones under the Son-T, just keep it 3 - 4 feet above them until they show signs of healthy growth.

g'day; no...you can only use wattage that your ballast is rated at.eg; 400watt needs 400watt control box, 600watt needs 600watt control box, 1000watt needs 1000watt control etc.

400watt bulb wont go into 1000 watt control box.(without 'bang').

use 250watt bulb in 250watt ballast/control box.

we used to use an 880 watt hps in a mh 1000 watt balast....sounds odd but the hps was kind of inbetween a mh and a hps in light spectrum.....rather than buying a seperate hps kit.......

 

Expensive globes tho........

 

Ill look into it further to see if I can find what it was called
