just a couple of pics, if anyoner can identify the plant, hi gills,

can't really tell you anthing more then its a succulent and not a cactus, and it may be from the Agave (Agavaceae) family or the Aloe (Asphodelaceae) family.

i had it pegged for some sort of aloe vera... just by the spots.. which aloes seem to have also...

Yep. I too agree that it is quite possibly one of the many varieties of aloe vera that is out there.

I too would have to agree and say some kind of aloe too bhp.. I had a look through a few hundred photos and all i could find that looked like yours was this Aloe Sladniana while searching through Yahoo image search..so yer some kind of aloe..

 

If your luckily enough to take a photo of it in flower that would identify it easy mate..

I have some of your cactus type thing growing in my yard. It gets a weird orange/red flower every year.I agree with the aloe identification. If you break a leaf open it has a gooey green gel inside.

yeah, thats it, orange red flowers sort of like a kangaroo paw and green gooey stuff inside , , now all we need is the name, the pic dallas posted looks pretty close,
