Mites at and early stage

Recommended Posts

Hey people im new here and pretty new to growing. I have come into what mostly likely is a noob problem. I know what I did wrong and have learnt from my mistake. ^_^

I brought in these clones from somewhere else and they have carried red spider mites in with them I didnt spray them the first week because I thought it might hurt them. It is now the third week I probably noticed them to late but I have been spraying them every 3 days and trying to keep the plants themselves and the room air moist. Are there any other things I should be doing? Your help in this matter would be much appreciated.

most mite sprays wont kill eggs... so you need to respray 3 days later to get any eggs that may have hatched... then again 3 days later to be sure...

Natrasoap is a great mite spray... or even a yates bug gun... just make sure it deals with red mites... you need to spray the undersides of the leaves.. where the eggs are.. to do this.. just grab the base of the branch with your hand.. and running your hand up the stalk.. spray the underside of the leaves...

should clear up with a week... might pay to give the floor around the room a light spray too.. altho the bug will generally be contained with in the plant...

yer that will probley work

rember you gonna smoke dis stuff too

anyway if it dont work for some reason,

then

check diss

biological controle is excellent

1 lady beatle will eat upto 150 red spider mites and their eggs in 1 day

lace wings are a hungry preditor too

you can buy insects

google---> bilogical pest controle

you will see

bio dynamics rulez

easyest

free resorces

just add water

gota love dat

dis works with any insect pest

aphid, red spider mites, helothous cattapilla

any insect pest

ok

heres what you do

collect bout 20 insects in this case 20 red spider mites

mash dem up to a small red spider mites past

put the aphid past in a bottle with 100ml water

shake it

or

blend it

and let it settle overnight at room temp

next day strain and spray your plants

mixed @ 100pt water to 1pt red spider mite solution

warning

never put water on the leaves or flowers in full sun light

this causes the plant to transpire or sweat and lose water

NEVER spray with yah lights on

turn them off and let the bulbs cool to touch

then spray

or

best to spray just before the lights are due to come back on

at dawn or dusk if out side

strictly dawn for bud sprayz

Cool thanks for your help I know I hate using pesticides at all who knows what it does to you. I have already sprayed them with the systemic pesticide I would like to try using the natural predators approach but it seems like it would be a bit impractical unless you had the bugs always there ready to go. I just sprayed them as soon as I noticed. Thanks for your help on both questions radic perhaps I will try your method with the bugs in the water it sounds a bit strange do you know why this affects them? I mean personally I dont think I would hang around if someone started spraying me the juices of my dead brothers and sisters. Something tells me that mites wouldnt really mind so much.

I will continue with spray treatment I think I will get another one of those neem oil sprays to work with it because I can see them becoming resistant to it. The strain is called white rhino its hardy as fuck always yields bulk and its killer smoke to so I have that in my favour.

thc is soluable in any oil or fat

so neem oil will fully contanamate the trics

as will any soap

that sux

you will tast it

even if you do follow the directed with holding period

you will still taste it

at least the thc will give you some protection against any toxins

my advice

if you do use chemical pestiside sprays and soapes is to use only sprays and soaps recomended for veges and eatables

and to follow the directed with holding period is a must

usually 14 days

that means do not spray with in 14days of harvest or consumption

each pestaside will clearly advise of this in the recomened directions

but

when chemical oils and fats clearly contanimates the trics?????

well

i really dont know how long it would take, if ever, to reach an assecptable 'safe' level for consumption

no one has ever done any tests on cannabis to see

at least that i know off

so

make we know

how you go

ok

i more ting

now hear diss

sargent general warning

never, ever use any sprays or soaps that are recomended strictly for ornamentals

cause

sprays and soaps recomended for ornamentals are not for human consumption and are dangerous

hassard to your health

bio dynamics works

tried and proven

every time

without fail

people have been useing these tecks long before chemicals were even thort of

how does it work????

well

it is like biological weapons, germ warfare,

they dont stand a chance

they know it

and will run away

qarrentited

everytime

but dont ask your hydro sales man/woman to recomend to you of a free organic pest control methord

they will try to discredit it

awwwrrr poopooo bio dynamics

after all he/she is there to make a living from selling products

they are not qualified hordiculturists

so you cant expect them to know the best sollutitoin to your grow problem anyhow

in fact their info comes from the most sus of all sources

---> big multinational petro chemical companies

would you trust dem with your health?????

bazzar eh!

but you just did

when you spraied their products on your budz
