hey Luke.. don't want to blur the images mate... sorry, they sorta look kinda small huh? The nutes I was using on them were gh 3 part cutting strength... pretty weak I suppose.. but I mixed a whole bucket of the shit.. by the time it got to the bottom, the mix was a bit cloudy lol

now they're on lucas formula.

now they're on lucas formula.

Haven't come across that one but if it's an mj specific then it has to be better than a broad range nutrient.

How strong are your nutes? And can you get a closer shot of the tops?

It looks to me as if your nutrients are too strong as well but it's a bit hard to be sure from that distance.

Hmm, well then it shouldn't be a base salts problem, that's on the edge but it has less than I do, as I get a .8/.9 reading on my tapwater, and I've been able to trace all nute deficiency/toxicity to my fertilising.... Okay, I just looked at the Lucas Formula,

General Hydroponics 3 part nute mix....

micro is red-dark brown... needs a little shaking

gro is light green ... needs little less shaking..

bloom was bright red... needs a hella shaking

i saw on OG the Lucas Formula... this only involves micro and bloom.. so gro isn't used..

Lucas Nutrient Formula (per Gallon and a Gallon is 3.7854 liters )

Change Nutrient solution every 2 weeks.

Vegetative growth

Micro - 5ml

Bloom - 10ml

Bloom

Micro - 8ml

Bloom - 16ml

This may sound cool, but there's no graduation... The nutes aren't gradually increased, like the first week you start low, and with each change you reformulate up by around .1ec, or 1/2 ml/l.... This doesn't give the plants much choice, either they're able to absorb that amount at the start, and then they'll probably be underfed later, or you end up with overferted plants when young, in which case they'll find it hard to recover, and may never produce as well as they should due to the early setbacks... Look, this is all IMHO, but I think you should change the way you mix up your nutrients, (Why on earth do you do it in a bathtub?), change the formula to reflect the different needs of young plants, (i.e. bring concentration up slowly), and finally, get an e.c. meter. I know you don't think you need one, but honestly, I thought I could do without one too. When I did get it, the accuracy and responsiveness I could give my plants improved their health and vigor straight away. Whitcluster seems to get along okay without one, but I still think they are an essential tool for hydroponic growing.

Once again, IMHO, and if I've made some incorrect assumptions, please correct me. Anyway, hope this helps you out.... lol

Hey there Luke... it wasn't because of the lucas formula... I really noticed this before transplanting.. when I removed them from the growroom I really noticed how yellow number one is looking... it's really wierd... I can't tell if it's over feed or under fed... I noticed that when they were in the coke bottles, they really liked one good watering a day. They responded much better at one a day than at one feeding at every two days... so for couple of days before transplanting I tried two feeds a day.. number one sorta didn't grow too well for a couple of weeks before transplanting... but looked healthy when I fed it once a day.. all this is pretty confusing I suppose... remember I FIMMED number one, and only gave number two an undercut.. number one seemed to be less susceptible to the high temps but number two seems to be handling the seedling pot and nutes better than number one... oh well.. pretty soon I'll have some clones, so I can start all over again lol

I havn't mixed nutes in the bathtub yet... it's one of those small square ones for a shower... I'll just bleach it first and rinse then mix nutes in there... otherwise I gotta mix 5 20ltr buckets of nutes seperately. So it's gonna save on the changeovers considerably lol The other thing.. I want to get a water pump that isn't submersible... one that just has a in hose connector and an out hose connector... sheezz wish I had've thought of this sooner... I don't like those submersible pumps... you don't need one for a dwc setup.. Anyone use a non submersible pump for draining and filling res's?? What is a good one to quickly drain and fill 80-100 liter setup? Edited by Mr Putard

I don't know what to say...more good help than I can poke a broom stick at..hehe

I sorta got this other problem... lol I can't stop pruning the plants... is there anything I can do to stop it? Has anyone had similar problems and how do you deal with it? I smoked 6 leaves yesterday morning and I was bent for about 5 hours.. That sounds a bit weak huh? I know it's bad... but I can't help it.. The leaves are kinda small from where I'm pruning from... will they get bigger eventually, will the plant recover? And, do you think I can still get some buds if I go on like this?
