I saw a great flick the other day called Punishment Park. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it - it raises some incredibly important themes.

 

The other country I like is France but I don't think I'll be able to get a Visa. In France the government is scared of the people - in Aus, the US etc the people are scared of the government. There's something horribly wrong with being forced to vote for something you don't wish to vote for.

i had high hopes for rudd as well, but him saluting bush was a major kick in the balls for australia at large...it showed we are still the usa's bitch and if that wasnt enough the day before rudd met the queen he said he supports becoming a republic and was even known as republic rudd for a few days. im all for becoming a republic as well, but when questioned by the queen about what he said he pretty much told her that all australians love and support the queen
