do i need to do anything to tha roockwool cubes b4 i put the seed in it?

You soak the cubes in PH 6.0 water for an hour or so then drain them until they are just damp, drop a seed in the hole and gently push the hole in the cube closed.

Actually, after you've soaked them you'll want to drain them, then boil them to sterilize them. Once they've cooled down - then they're ready for use.

I think you'll have just as much success following Tom's advice, I have never heard of anyone boiling their rockwool Although I admit sterilizing it would be good. Jeez I don't even use ph balanced water, just straight from the tap and never have any probs

agree, i've done all my grows using rockwool and theres nothing to it, just tap water, then i give it a few flicks to get most of the water out then put in a already cracked seed and bingo few days later were under way
