68-year-old man charged after cannabis seized

A 68-year-old man will appear in court today after cannabis with an estimated potential street value of $90,000 was seized at a Redfern townhouse.

 

Police executed a search warrant at a townhouse in Wells Street about 12.45pm yesterday.

 

It will be alleged hydroponically grown cannabis leaf with an estimated potential street value of $90,000 was seized along with a quantity of cash.

 

A 68-year-old man was arrested at the townhouse and taken to Redfern Police Station for questioning.

 

He was subsequently charged with dealing with proceeds of crime and supplying a prohibited drug.

 

The 68-year-old was refused bail and will appear in Central Local Court today.

These arsehole pollies that have written these draconian laws need to be reminded that they work for US they are only there in the parliament because we put them there and we can remove them again.

 

The parliament ONLY exists at the will of the people and they have NO right to remove OUR freedoms.

 

Write to your local member of parliament both federal and state and remind them that they are public SERVANTS...... not public dictators

If it was anything like my own experience, they took some of the plant and used thier mobile lab ( a plastic tote full of test capsules) and made sure it was cannabis sativa...just in case it was some other pretty flower that they mistook for the real thing... Dirty rat bastards....
