Hey there,...I have used www.thehydroshack.com.au twice before and they are great.

1000w Sunmaster cost me about $220.00 ! They have heaps of other stuff too. Check their web site for current prices.

in 1-5 days... not bad ...

There's many places sell second hand lights kits specially these second hand shops, seen some 400W selling for $100 for the whole set up...

 

But I rather pay the full price for a completely brand new kit, specially the ballast because you have no idea of secondhand's ballasts previously history.

 

If you still want buy second hand light kits, best buy brand new globe, dont use the second hand globe, it might be nearly or even its past due by date. You never know.

 

Some people are happy buying second hand kits but I prefer buying them brand new, mostly for safety reasons and money reasons too because if it blew up or whatever, most hydro shops are happy to replace them.

 

But with secondhand you are fucked and money wasted and more $$ to spend repairing or buying new ballast.

 

Just IMO.

g'day; if you want 2nd hand but dont want 2nd hand ballast, you wont buy much.except for lead that bulb screws into.and reflector.

nothin wrong with 2nd hand ballast, no moving parts, most that normally goes wrong if ever is a blown fuse.

most hydro shops give warrenty with 2nd hand ballast(control box).
