Trimming/Tipping where, why how?

Recommended Posts

I just got really whacked prior to reading this so i cant tell you much but its good if you wanna keep your plants at a certain hieght and if you want bushy plants like a hedge , if they cant go up they grow outwards ... alotta ppl dont reckon its too good tipping the plant cause they say it slows growth , prolly does too ... so they put a net over it and train the plant under or train the plants branches by tying them down instead of tipping its called Low Stress Training LST, acheives practically the same result as tipping...

ahh well like i said im smashed lol cya :D

you dont need to touch the plant while its growing if you dont want to and imo cutting a plant causes a fair bit of stress and it will also make you lose the main bud on the branches you chop lol

also tipping and trimming are the same thing (cutting the plant) so i recommend tying the plants down if height is an issue or you are growing indoors. it causes barely any stress to the plant, does the same job as cutting the plant and you wont lose the larger buds either :D

Thanks,

Nah height isn't an issue, I thought it might have had an impact on yield in some way.

if you are growing outdoors and have perfect lighting all day training isnt really required as sun light doesnt really get any weaker from the top of the plant to the bottom. indoors is another matter though, the light is really only good for about 40cm or there abouts depending on the wattage of your light so you will yield heaps more with a flat canopy of buds compared to having christmas trees lol
