Are hot knifes really bad for ur lungs?

Don't they work on the same principle as a vapouriser? Never used either myself.

I think to be harmful the steel would have to burn. And that's HOT! Hotter than one could do with a fire or hot element on a stove. Steel burning makes a smoke that chokes ya. You would know.

I wasnt exactly speaking of the knifes, I was talking about whether or not the hot smoke is harsh on your lungs,

It is no diffrent to smoking a joint or a pipe imo it will have a bite, u get the hot smoke in ya lungs as there is nothing to cool it like a bong with the water...

prolly better than smoking a bong i would think as smoke inhaled is minimal but very concentrated. do you use a tube of some sort to get in close to the knives so you not burning ya nose hairs out? try a sheet of paper rolled into a tight tube like a straw maybe a little bigger but. get the spot smokin and suck the smoke thru the tube, inhaling thru the straw will cool the smoke as it mixes with the surrounding air.

just one tip... use all steel knives... dont use knives with plastic handles.... and give them a scrub after you use them to clean the black shit off... and for gods sake dont set fire to the kitchen... i say this because.. well.. just because ok..

Haha, just put your mouth above the knifes, well above, then inhale you get it all and ur not going to burn urself.
