Australian Native 1 mtr tall shrubs

Recommended Posts

Hi buddy ,

Although we don't do Australian Natives in grow diaries many of us are general culitvators and can help out plenty with Australian Native questions you may have , however personaly speaking i will need you to be a little more specific. ie what would you like to know about them ? Is there a particular plant you have in mind , or is there a particular job that you had in mind that you needed this for ( ie a headge ) , and I guess the last broad question would be what kind of situation are you in , are you able to plant directly into the ground or will you be relying on pots ?

Hi Pure , I have a few in the back yard and have tried to strike them up(clone) last year with no success. I would strike them into pots first and then into the ground.

I think im gettin the time of year wrong for this, but they all flower at different times of the year.

I wont be able to get there names untill tommorrow(If that helps).

I think the timing is most important for taking the cuttings.

Thanks for helping ;)

from the website of the Australian National Botanic Gardens

Propogating from cutting http://www.anbg.gov.au/PROPGATE/propagat.htm

Propogating from seed http://www.anbg.gov.au/PROPGATE/plant01.htm

Which to do and when by plant species (not an exhaustive list) http://www.anbg.gov.au/PROPGATE/table.htm

Gives fairly in depth details, including use of hormones and greenhouses.

Hope that helps
