are my clones gonna survive?

Recommended Posts

;) I just have one little thing to add that I've noticed from my own dismal cloning failures:

Air embolisms.

I have noticed that if I use scissors to make the first cut, the stem gets pinched.

I then do the light scraping, and leaf trimming, and then plunge the cutting under water where I use a razor or scalpel to make the second diagonal cut.

Then I give them a light coat of clonex.

It seems to me that the scissor pinching keeps the cutting from "sucking air" right off.

The only other thing I noticed from the pix is that there seemed to be too many leaves on the clones. And the leaves didn't have the tips snipped off. Less leaf = more root...well it's more technicl than that, but easier to remember.
