Heeling in

Recommended Posts

I've just planted a clone outdoors by heeling it in...(planting it at an angle) so that the stress of bending her down horizontal to the ground will be much less.

Already hardened off for about a month, all I did was add ammendments to the soil and plant at an angle, putting a good hand and a half deep soil over the root ball and trenching the soil under her so that she isn't laying on the soil. This girl was way too healthy to fit in the flower box.

More pix in a week or three. She should be ready to harvest in late Sept, to mid Oct.

hey,

A mate used to put out one foot square pot socks filled with coco out in the national park.. Used to put between 4 and six 30 cm clones out per pot sock and 4-6 sox per plot.. All on a 45 degree angle facing out and within 6 weeks it would look like one bush.. the pot sox had green mesh bases so the roots could grow straight through into the ground.. I remember being there at harvy and him falling flat on his arse cause the pot sox and ground were as one.. By preveggin at home under 5-10 watts a square foot the plants would boom once established and you could get down to a 12-14 week cycle so u get the chance to put two cycles thru....
