can I stall clones?

Recommended Posts

hey everyone

I normally cut clones from my 2 plants 2 weeks before I start flo.

I don't have a mother, I just clone the 2 on veg that are next to go to flo.

It normally takes 2 weeks to root under 2 x 36 fluoro's then I turn all

8 x 36 fluoro's on to veg for 5-6 weeks, Then they go under a 600 hps

This has always worked well for me, good yield and the ultimate of ultimate

smoke.

what I would like to know, is after they root, instead of going to full 8 lights and full

strength nutes, can I keep them on low light (2x 36 watt fluoro's) and half strength nutes

(1.0 ec) for 4 weeks, to slow growth right down, without any detrimental effects

thanks

thanks bill

do you notice that they stretch anymore than usual, or are slower to take off

when you do start the veg cycle?

Out of interest, how close is your 600 to the top of your buds?

I have cool tube - 600 and temp is 28 at top of buds but I am getting masses of light

bleaching- buds are around 20-25 cm from outer glass on cool tube

thanks

yep

suffer some stretch

but once back under lights

and the stretchy growth removed

sorta like a lolli pop style

they kick into vege pretty quick

i give em a flush then up the nutes to 3/4 strength

then over 10 days bring em up to full strenght

and i have me 600w in a chinaman

keep it a good 50cm from tops

im gettin a cooltube asap

then the fun begins,

do u get a bigger yeild with the cool tube?

all the best

Yes, yield did improve - eventually.

Made a huge mistake thinking this new NASA approved foil

insulation that I just put in my roof would keep the heat out of

the roof, but not so. So the intake air in the roof was not doing anything

to cool tubes as the temp of intake air was just as hot as the room.

With a bit of help from some members here, I got it sorted eventually.

For the last 4 weeks of last gro I had nice cool air, as I hooked cool tubes

up to my 300mm inlet which sucks air conditioned air from room next door.

This made a difference of 7oz overall, but I did 2 harvy's and first one was at 6 weeks

which was a bit too soon and probably lost a bit due to the bad timing.

Yield would have been better had I waited the full 8-9 weeks for first harvy.

hope this helps

PS nice pics jimbo- they look real healthy
